A mobile all-in-one videoconferencing solution for Hotel Serwir
Hotel Serwir was founded in November 1966 by Joseph Serwir. After years of success, the hotel was transferred to the Vermeersch family, founders of Stars of Flanders. This Hotel Holding loves innovation, so it expanded from 37 rooms to no less than 78 rooms.
Hotel Serwir is located in Sint-Niklaas in a central location near the E17 motorway. The hotel's strength is its welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Guests needed hybrid meeting solutions
After the corona period, the hotel increasingly received requests for hybrid meeting facilities. However, the use of a traditional beamer and cables caused constant problems. In addition, the room setup often changed, and the beamer was difficult to hide.
A mobile all-in-one videoconference solution
Hotel Serwir's goal was for the client to make their meetings run more smoothly and content sharing easier. In addition to this, the clients wanted to be able to work wirelessly and have live meetings without problems. Audiovisual Consultant Mathieu Seghers of Play AV identified Hotel Serwir's needs and proposed a mobile all-in-one videoconferencing solution. This solution consists of the following components:
- Samsung 85 inch display
- Neat bar pro
- Barco ClickShare CX20
- Scetavb mobile set
Implementation process and possible challenges
"At first, we had to figure out the best way to introduce the new solution to our customers. It was quickly noticed that some customers had to enter a password when installing new software. Once this was in order, working with the Barco ClickShare went very smoothly" Sabine, Sales Manager at Hotel Serwir tells us.
In order to ensure a smooth meeting, the hotel now sends an e-mail regarding the Barco ClickShare registration in advance, which makes the pre-installation run smoothly and prevents any problems just before the customer's presentation.
User experience
The wireless meeting system with the Barco ClickShare has improved meetings and collaboration at Hotel Serwir. Compared to the previous solution, they now experience an improvement in the convenience of wireless conferencing.
