Thomas More enhances student experience with advanced AV technology
Thomas More is the largest university college in Flanders with 40 bachelor programs, 16 graduates and more than 22,000 students. An international and vibrant community with optimal learning opportunities for every talent.
It was just those things, shaken by the corona pandemic. Students were not allowed to come to campus, international students could not simply travel to Belgium. Distance learning was the solution, but the technology was lacking. The college sought and found the answer with Dialog. Courtesy of AP's joint framework agreement for AV integrations.
The importance of innovative AV technology in education
Interactive technology makes lessons more dynamic and promotes an active attitude among students. “Blended learning” creates a flexible and personalized learning environment. Hybrid learning provides the flexibility to combine a physical location, such as a classroom, with an online learning environment, essential in the modern educational context. These investments ensure that colleges are ready for the future, preparing students optimally for their future careers.
“Hybrid education enables participation in classes at a distance. This has a positive effect on different target groups, such as students with disabilities, students who are ill or professionals who combine lifelong learning with work. It also solves mobility problems.”
Hybrid classrooms
The hybrid classrooms at Thomas More are used for different types of classes: classes in which students or instructors participate remotely, defenses of undergraduate examinations with jurors remotely, and classes in which the instructor is completely remote.
