IVAGO opts for optimal communication
IVAGO is known as the Intermunicipal Association for Waste Management in Ghent and its surroundings. In addition to collecting regular household waste, IVAGO also takes responsibility for keeping public roads clean. With six recycling parks under their management, there was a need for a renewed communication approach. Through our proposal, Play AV had the opportunity to provide a customized solution for IVAGO.
Need for more communication in the recycling parks & at the headquarters
In the past, communication with park visitors was done through an LED panel, considered the smaller equivalent of an LED wall. However, this LED panel no longer met IVAGO's contemporary requirements. The aim was to elevate communication with the population to a higher level. A solution was sought collaboratively with the following criteria:
- Easy to control and user-friendly
- Implementation of the association's visual identity
- Suitable for sending multiple communications simultaneously
- Visually reinforcing messages, including sorting instructions, job vacancies, campaigns, and advice
It was quickly decided to opt for an LED wall, an investment that was sustainable with easy usability..
At the headquarters, there was also a desire to communicate more with the staff.
"Our communication department had long worked with internal mailing, but these emails mainly reached our office workers and not our field staff. So, a new solution was needed to inform our workers about internal communications." explains Andy Leclercq, Head of IT and Systems at IVAGO.
This internal problem was addressed by investing in digital signage. Various displays have been placed in the dining areas, at the entrance, and at the starting points, showing internal information such as daily schedules, announcements of internal events, and statistics related to the low number of work accidents.
Collaboration with Play AV
