The Montil renews: A reborn Andromeda room
A renowned event venue in Affligem
De Montil is a family business that has been operating since 1979 and is now in the hands of the third generation. De Montil is ready for both B2B services and B2C services. In addition to space rental, this event venue also has in-house catering, allowing them to cater complete events. Play AV has been the regular partner for audiovisual solutions for decades.
Their Andromeda Hall underwent an extensive renovation after 30 years of intensive use. This renovation was necessary not only to modernize the physical environment, but also to better meet the changing needs of customers. With the renovated Andromeda Room, De Montil aims to provide an ultra-modern and inspiring space that is both functional and conducive to creativity and collaboration.
A modular event space
The Andromeda Room is used for a wide range of events. B2B use includes meetings, product presentations, conventions and staff parties, while B2C use focuses on weddings, anniversaries and other personal celebrations. Thanks to its modular arrangement, the hall can be arranged flexibly, for example as a plenary room combined with a catering area. This flexibility significantly increases the room's usability and provides a solution for a variety of events.
Choosing audiovisual optimization
Where previously the sound system was only used for background music, the new audio solution is much more versatile. Thanks to wireless microphones and headsets, the room is fully ready for presentations. By using a control system, different zones can be managed separately. This makes it possible, for example, to play background music in the catering area while presentations take place in the plenary area.
The renovation also led to an advanced projection system with ceiling integrated projectors. When the projection screens are not needed, they remain stored invisibly. This makes the space aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. Dorien D'Hollander - Event Manager at De Montil told us more: “The image quality is excellent even when fully illuminated, which is ideal for dinners with simultaneous presentations. For meetings, darkeners offer an optimal viewing experience.”
A new addition to the Andromeda Room is the Samsung LED wall. Thanks to the Barco ClickShare, users can connect easily. The LED wall is used for a variety of purposes, such as product presentations and displaying logos. Customers appreciate the screen's exceptional brightness and resolution, as evidenced by feedback during a medical conference, “The blood on the screen looks too real!”

The choice of Play AV as integrator was a logical one for De Montil given the long-standing cooperation.
