DE BROUCKÈRE & BEURS - ART IN THE METRO

The Premetrostation in Brussels near the Ancien Belgique  has recently acquired a new image. After two years of renovation work, what used to be a dirty, unpleasant place was transformed into a beautiful, underground meeting space.

The metro station has a lot of new functionalities. There is a new bicycle parking, ‘bike-wash’ and a large art and event gallery. This last one is a real eye-catcher.

Beautiful artworks are displayed in all platforms, ticket halls and corridors. Various artists were allowed to display their artworks such as paintings, sculptures, photographs and stained glass windows. Travelers can now enjoy more than 80 artworks every day.

And all of this of course comes with a new name. From now on the metro station will call ‘Beurs-Grote Markt’.

In collaboration with Cegelec, Play AV was enabled  to deliver and install two Samsung touch screens, controlled by a Digital Signage solution from Centoview, and two Panasonic laser projectors.
